The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has set up a 7-member screening committee for aspirants seeking the party’s ticket for the November 6, 2021, governorship election in Anambra State.
In a statement on Wednesday, Secretary of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Sen. John James AkpanUdoedehe, said the committee is expected to conduct the screening exercise in line with the provisions of the party’s constitution and guidelines for the nomination of candidates.
Chief Ikechi Emenike was named Chairman of the committee, with Hon. Augustine Utuk as Secretary.
Other members of the committee are; Hon. Eugene Odo, Prof. Ben Angwe, Mrs. Kemi Nelson, Ahmed Aliyu and Prof. Adeolu Akande.
