A top non governmental organization, Chukwuemeka Onyenucheya foundation has taken the war against malaria parasite to Abia community.
The foundation through a project tagged : Zero Malaria Begins With Me Campaign, initiated to mark this year’s World Malaria Day, undertook an aggressive testing and treatment of the numerous people who turned out for the event.
Speaking to newsmen after the event, the President and Founder of the foundation, Mr Chukwuemeka Onyenucheya stated that it is unfortunate that despite advancements in medical research across the globe, malaria still kills Africans especially Nigerians in droves.
He stated this in view of the recent damning report which revealed that Nigeria contributes 25% of global Malaria deaths.
He however reiterated his organizations poise to continue Championing the war targtted at the total eradication of Malaria in Nigeria and Africa.
The event was attended by community leaders, traditional rulers, youths and women leaders who all applauded the organization for always standing in the gap for the people.
