The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, Abia State branch, has honoured former minister for Mines &Steel Development Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah as a banking ICON at a dinner and lecture in commemoration of 2024 Bankers Week held yesterday 14th December at Abia Hotels, Umuahia.

Dr. Ogah wasn’t disposed to physically receive this prestigious award because of the planning of his late mother’s funeral coming up on the 29th December, he was ably represented by the head of admin, Abia Rejoice Movement, Comrade Godwin Okorie.
Surely, this award will add more strength and vitality to Dr. Ogah in his dedication and unwavering pursuit for excellence, human capital development, integrity and social responsibility.
His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, (OFR), the Executive Governor of Abia State was the distinguish guest at the event while Prof. Pius Deji Olanrewaju, President/Chairman of the Council, CIBN was the special guest and other important digintries in attendance.
